We do not collect, transmit, track, or store any personal data, notes, or usage analytics. Your data never leaves your device. No account is required to use Brainsheets.
1. Overview & Data Philosophy
At Moxshie Tech Private Limited, our data protection philosophy is absolute: You cannot leak, compromise, or monetize data you never collect in the first place. Brainsheets is architected as an offline-first tool where all user-created content—including typed notes, handwriting, PDF annotations, and spaced repetition cards—is saved exclusively in local device storage.
2. What Information We Collect
Zero Application Data Collected: Brainsheets collects zero personal information (PII) from your usage of the application:
- No Account Required: You do not need to register, provide an email address, phone number, or password to use Brainsheets.
- No Telemetry or Tracking: We do not embed tracking SDKs, behavioral analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Firebase Analytics), crash reporting beacons, or advertising SDKs.
- No Remote Content Transmission: Your notes, PDFs, and drawings are never transmitted across the internet to our servers or third-party servers.
- No Cookies or Tracking Pixels: We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, local storage tracking, or third-party web analytics on this website.
Voluntary Correspondence: If you choose to contact us directly via email (e.g., for customer support or legal inquiries at [email protected] or [email protected]), we receive your email address and any details you provide in your message. This information is used solely to respond to and resolve your inquiry and is never shared, sold, or used for marketing.
3. Platforms, Purchases & Monetization Architecture
Brainsheets operates under a transparent, platform-native distribution model:
- Windows Desktop (Community Edition): 100% Free Community Edition. Windows desktop builds contain zero paywalls, zero payment rails, zero digital rights management (DRM), and require zero accounts.
- Android (Google Play Store): The mobile application includes a generous free local capacity tier. Optional upgrades to the Pro tier (expanding local sheet/node capacity) are processed entirely through Google Play Billing (Google LLC).
Moxshie Tech Private Limited does not see, collect, process, or store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or billing addresses. All mobile transactions are handled securely by Google LLC under Google Play Terms of Service and Privacy Policies. Pro entitlement checks operate anonymously on your device without linking to personal identities.
4. Local Storage, Data Retention & Deletion
All application databases (SQLite and Loro CRDT storage) reside exclusively on your physical device:
- Data Retention: We retain zero data on remote servers because no remote databases exist.
- Data Deletion: Deleting or uninstalling Brainsheets from your device permanently purges all local notes, settings, and database files.
- Google Play Data Safety Alignment: Because Brainsheets stores zero user notes or personal accounts on external servers, no remote account deletion mechanism is required or applicable. Users maintain complete sovereignty over their data locally. Users may also contact our Grievance Desk at any time for written confirmation that Moxshie Tech Private Limited holds zero copies of their personal data.
- Right to Erasure for Inquiries: Users who contact our support or legal desks via email may request the permanent deletion of their correspondence history at any time by emailing [email protected].
5. Statutory Privacy Compliance
Because Brainsheets does not collect, hold, or process personal data:
- India DPDP Act (2023): Fully compliant. No digital personal data is collected, processed, or transferred across borders. In accordance with Section 9, Brainsheets conducts zero behavioral tracking, zero profiling, and zero targeted advertising against users of any age, including minors.
- EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): Compliant. Zero tracking, zero telemetry, and zero cross-border data transfers.
- California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA): Compliant. We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data.
6. Target Audience & Children’s Privacy
Brainsheets is specifically designed and directed to competitive exam aspirants (such as UPSC, medical, and legal candidates), college students, and adult self-directed learners.
Brainsheets is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information via email correspondence, please contact our Grievance Officer immediately so we can promptly delete it.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
